New Edo CP Patrick Daor Vows to Respect Citizens

Patrick Daor was officially deployed as the new Commissioner of Police in Edo State on Monday, taking over from his predecessor, Monday Agbonika, who is now an Assistant Inspector-General of Police. During the handover ceremony at the state police headquarters in Benin, Daor committed to treating residents with respect and improving the police's crime-fighting strategies.

He emphasized the importance of building trust with the community and maintaining an open-door policy, encouraging citizens to report issues directly to him for professional handling. Daor stated that the Edo State Police Command would be highly mobile, ensuring prompt responses to residents' concerns.

His predecessor, Agbonika, noted that crime had been minimized during his tenure and expressed gratitude to the police personnel, spiritual leaders, and the Edo State Government for their support.
