NGF and AGC Deny Suspension Reports, Threaten Legal Action

The Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF) and the African Golf Confederation (AGC) have rejected reports claiming that the NGF was suspended, labeling them as false and misleading. NGF President Otunba Olusegun Runsewe stated that these reports were unauthorized and malicious, threatening legal action against the publishers for disseminating damaging falsehoods.

He clarified that the NGF had settled its affiliation fee of $1,500 to the AGC electronically prior to the emergence of these reports. Runsewe also confirmed that he spoke with AGC President Amb.

Johnson Omolo, who denied authorizing any statements regarding the suspension. Furthermore, Runsewe emphasized that the AGC has no administrative role in the All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT), which is organized independently.

He dismissed any connections between the alleged suspension and Nigeria's hosting of the 2026 AACT, asserting that preparations for the tournament are proceeding smoothly, with around 30 African countries expected to participate. He commended Dr.
