NGF Launches New Roadmap for Golf Development in Abuja

The Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF), under the leadership of President Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, unveiled a new roadmap aimed at repositioning golf in Nigeria through grassroots development, youth empowerment, and strategic partnerships during the second edition of the NGF Stakeholders’ Summit held in Abuja. The summit, themed “Finding the Fairway: Sustainable Growth and Youth Development,” gathered representatives from over 46 golf clubs and stakeholders.

Runsewe emphasized the importance of grassroots and youth development in the federation's strategy and announced plans to strengthen partnerships with airlines, hotels, and other sectors to enhance tournament logistics and promote sports tourism. He also expressed support for the upcoming All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT), scheduled for November 1 to November 7 at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja, commending Dr. Lami Onayi Ahmed for her efforts in ensuring the tournament's success.

Notable attendees included His Royal Highness Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi and Mr. Lawal Garba, who chaired the summit, along with special guest Sen. Simon Bako Lalong.
