NHF Collection Reaches N154.4bn in 2025, FMBN Reports

The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) announced that the National Housing Fund (NHF) collection rose to N154.4 billion in 2025, a significant increase from N103 billion in 2024, representing a 48% growth. This announcement was made during a press briefing on Wednesday, marking the two-year tenure of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Shehu Usman Osidi.

The NHF's collection in 2025 is noted as the highest annual collection in the scheme's history. In terms of refunds, N13.2 billion was paid to 40,426 beneficiaries in 2023, followed by N14.4 billion to 44,333 beneficiaries in 2024, and N15.6 billion to 55,068 beneficiaries in 2025.

The FMBN aims to finance 6,911 housing units in 2025, which represents 96% of its annual delivery target. The bank plans to ensure that housing project loan disbursements exceed N79 billion in 2025, compared to N31.5 billion in 2024.
