NiDCOM Celebrates Amadi and Ighedo's Global Achievements

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), congratulated Ugwechi Amadi and Prof.

Oghenetega Ighedo for their remarkable global achievements in a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by NiDCOM Director, Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun. Amadi was recently appointed as the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of McDonald’s.

She is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Rhodes Scholar, holding a PhD from the University of Oxford. Her previous leadership roles include positions at LIV Golf, Nike, and Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Prof. Ighedo made history as the first black woman to earn a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Mathematical Sciences at UNISA.

Both women are recognized for their contributions to global excellence and serve as inspirations for Nigerians in STEM fields.
