Niger APC Advocates Peaceful Campaigns Ahead of Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has called for peaceful electioneering as the governorship campaign approaches. Alhaji Musa Sarkinkaji, the State Publicity Secretary, stated that campaigns should focus on issues rather than personal attacks.

He emphasized that the party, being in government, should not allow opposition provocations to incite anger. Sarkinkaji highlighted the APC's achievements and urged members to showcase their successes while avoiding distractions from the opposition.

He cautioned against internal criticism of party candidates, labeling such behavior as potentially counterproductive. The party has expressed concern over increasing social media attacks and personal insults directed at its candidates, which are unauthorized and detrimental to the party's image.

Members are urged to maintain discipline and loyalty in their public engagements, with a warning that those inciting internal discord will face disciplinary action according to APC regulations. Sarkinkaji confirmed that Alhaji Mohammed Sani Kutigi is the senatorial candidate for the Niger South Senatorial district.
