Niger State NIPTA Lawsuit Stalled Due to Judge's Absence

The lawsuit filed by the Niger State Parent Teacher Association (NIPTA) against the state government and others challenging the illegal dissolution of NIPTA has been adjourned in Minna, Niger State due to the absence of Justice Mikaila Abdullahi. The association seeks a declaration that the dissolution was unlawful and an injunction to restrain the caretaker committee appointed by the state government.

Despite the pending court case, the caretaker committee continues to operate, prompting concerns from NIPTA's chairman, Malam Yunusa Adamu. The case is scheduled to resume on January 21, 2026.
