WoPU Backs Tinubu for 2027 Presidential Election Bid

The Working People United (WoPU), a coalition of workers, professionals, and artisans, endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the most viable candidate for the 2027 general elections. This declaration was made by WoPU’s Coordinator-General, Comrade Prince Williams Eniredonana Akporeha, during a press conference following the 66th Independence Thanksgiving Service in Asaba, attended by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Akporeha commended Tinubu’s leadership over the past three and a half years, highlighting his boldness in addressing challenges that previous administrations avoided. He asserted that Tinubu has the vision and capacity to restore Nigeria’s greatness and build on the foundation laid by the country's founding fathers.

WoPU praised key policies of Tinubu's administration, including the removal of fuel subsidies, establishment of Nigeria’s first private refinery, and advocacy for state police and resource control. Akporeha emphasized that Tinubu is driven by national progress rather than personal gain and announced plans for mass sensitization campaigns to mobilize support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
