Nigeria Engages Bombardier for Aviation Partnership

The Nigerian Federal Government, represented by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, concluded a strategic engagement with Bombardier, a global leader in aircraft manufacturing, during a visit to Montreal, Canada. This engagement aims to establish direct partnerships between Nigerian operators and Bombardier, following earlier discussions with Boeing and Airbus.

The initiative is part of a comprehensive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engagement program designed to support fleet renewal, improve access to aircraft financing, and expand technical cooperation. Keyamo reaffirmed the government's commitment to creating an enabling environment for indigenous operators, which will modernize fleets, improve safety, and enhance operational efficiency in Nigeria's aviation industry.

The visit also showcased Bombardier's aircraft manufacturing processes and technical training programs. Keyamo's delegation included officials from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, emphasizing the administration's commitment to making Nigeria a preferred aviation hub in Africa.
