Nigeria Leads Africa in Private Jet Ownership, Says Keyamo

Nigeria holds the record for the highest number of private jets in Africa, as stated by Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development. Keyamo made this disclosure during a strategic engagement with Bombardier in Montreal, Canada.

He emphasized the potential for Nigeria's business aviation market to attract investments and strengthen partnerships with global aircraft manufacturers. The visit included discussions with major aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer, aiming to expand Nigerian airlines' access to modern aircraft and technical support.

Keyamo noted that establishing direct relationships with leading aircraft manufacturers would facilitate fleet renewal and improve operational standards across the industry. The Tinubu administration is committed to reforms that will encourage investment in aviation and create a competitive environment in the airline industry.

The delegation included key aviation stakeholders and toured Bombardier's manufacturing facility, receiving detailed presentations on aircraft maintenance systems and technical training.
