Nigerian Government Welcomes Simon Ekpa's Terrorism Conviction in Finland

Nigeria praises the Finnish court's decision to convict Simon Ekpa for terrorism-related offenses, sentencing him to six years in prison. Minister Mohammed Idris termed the ruling a major triumph in the fight against terror.

Chief Defence Staff General Christopher Musa and AGF Minister Justice Lateef Fagbemi also commended the judgment. The Nigerian Bar Association and Rule of Law Accountability Advocacy Centre urged the government to prioritize security and citizens' welfare.

Ekpa's conviction is viewed as a crucial step towards justice and curbing violence.
