Fubara Backs Tinubu's Reelection at Southern Rulers Meeting

On Thursday, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara endorsed President Bola Tinubu's reelection, asserting that Nigeria is in capable hands. He made this appeal during a meeting with the Southern Traditional Rulers Council in Port Harcourt, where 17 southern state monarchs convened to discuss unity, security, and economic growth.

Fubara highlighted the current administration's achievements despite challenges, noting progress in economic recovery and infrastructure delivery, including the construction of coastal roads. He emphasized the importance of stable leadership and called for collaboration among stakeholders in the southern region to pursue common goals.

The event, attended by traditional rulers, underscored Rivers State's peaceful environment and its capacity to host significant national engagements. The meeting marked the fourth in a series aimed at reinforcing unity across the diverse southern states, reflecting Nigeria's rich cultural heritage with over 400 dialects spoken.

The council, co-chaired by Obi Obinugwu and Ooni Ogunwusi, aims to support the current administration in tackling pressing security and economic issues.
