NVBF Invites 44 Players for U-19 and U-18 Volleyball Camps

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has officially invited 44 outstanding players to participate in training camps for the National U-19 Girls and U-18 Boys teams. This initiative is in preparation for the 2026 African Junior Volleyball Championship, which is scheduled to take place in Egypt.

The camps will consist of 22 players each from the U-19 Girls and U-18 Boys teams, selected from clubs competing in the Nigeria Premier Volleyball League. The training program will commence on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the High-Performance Centre, where the teams will begin intensive preparations for the continental championship.

The NVBF expressed confidence in the quality and readiness of the invited players, noting their competitive conditions following the successful conclusion of the first phase of the 2026 National Volleyball League. The U-18 Boys team has a strong pedigree, having won the African title three consecutive times and represented the continent at the FIVB U-19 Boys World Championship on two occasions.

The U-19 Girls team is also expected to make a significant impact on the continental stage.
