Nigeria Missing as New Report List Countries With the Highest Fuel Price in August

A recent report highlighting countries with the highest fuel prices in August did not include Nigeria, which is a significant omission. The increase in gas prices has immediate effects on businesses, government, and consumers, as transportation expenses rise, making it costlier to move goods.

In Nigeria, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited reduced the price of petrol at its retail stations to N865 per litre from N890 per litre. Finding strategies to keep gasoline prices low while investing in refining capacity and alternative energy sources is crucial.
