Nigeria Extradites Chukwuemeka Adebiyi to UK for Murder

Chukwuemeka Adebiyi has been extradited from Nigeria to the United Kingdom to face charges related to the murder of Joshua Boadu, who was stabbed on June 11, 2018, in Bermondsey, London. The Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of Inspector General Olatunji Rilwan Disu, executed the extradition on April 16, 2026, following a formal request from UK authorities made in September 2024.

Adebiyi was arrested on January 23, 2025, and the extradition process was initiated at the Federal High Court in Lagos on February 16, 2026, where Justice O. Faji granted the extradition application in accordance with Nigeria's extradition act.

Adebiyi is alleged to have fled Nigeria after the incident and was reportedly involved in drug trafficking prior to the murder. He is expected to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court after being remanded in custody.
