Nigerian and US Forces Eliminate 20 ISIS/ISWAP Fighters

The Nigerian military, in collaboration with U.S. Africa Command, has conducted successful operations resulting in the elimination of 20 ISIS/ISWAP fighters in North East Nigeria.

Major General Samaila Uba, from the Defence Headquarters, stated that these operations are part of a broader strategy to disrupt terrorist networks and prevent the establishment of safe havens within Nigeria. The operations included multiple air strikes in the general area of Metel, targeting converging terrorist elements.

Additionally, the ongoing efforts aim to neutralize ISIS command, specifically targeting an individual identified as Abu Bilal Al Minuki. Uba reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Armed Forces to defend the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity against terrorist threats, ensuring that there will be no safe haven for terrorists in Nigeria.
