Nigerian Army Disowns Fake Recruitment Advertisement

The Nigerian Army has issued a statement disavowing a fake recruitment advertisement for the Short Service Combat Commission Course 50, 2027, which has been circulating on social media platforms. Col. Appolonia Anel, the Director of Army Public Relations, clarified that the advertisement is fraudulent and not an official communication from the Nigerian Army.

The Army urged the public to ignore the advertisement and warned potential applicants against making payments to individuals or websites claiming to conduct recruitment on their behalf. They emphasized that the recruitment process is strictly free, transparent, and merit-based.

The Nigerian Army also stated that they will take action against those involved in producing and circulating such fake advertisements, including identifying, arresting, and prosecuting individuals who defraud innocent Nigerians. The Army advised the public to verify recruitment information through their official channels and report any suspicious recruitment activities to the nearest military formation or security agency.
