$60M Coffee Partnership Signed Between Nigeria and Liberia

JR Farms Group and the Liberia Ministry of Agriculture signed an implementation agreement for a $60 million coffee partnership aimed at developing the coffee value chain in Liberia. This agreement follows a partnership signed on June 8, 2026, and marks the official start of a 20-year collaboration.

The initiative includes establishing commercial-scale coffee nursery hubs in five counties, onboarding over 200,000 farmers, training extension workers, and developing coffee washing stations and market infrastructure to enhance the global market presence of Liberian coffee. Under the leadership of Dr. Neutah Alexander, the Minister of Agriculture, this partnership aligns with Liberia's focus on coffee as a priority crop.

Mr. Olawale Rotimi Opeyemi, Founder and Group Chief Executive of JR Farms Group, expressed optimism about the project's progress, which is expected to create nearly half a million jobs and contribute significantly to Liberia's GDP and income.
