Frankline Makes History as First Male First-Class Graduate

Frankline, a 2026 graduate from the Faculty of Law at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, Nigeria, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first male to earn a First-Class degree since the faculty was established in 1962. He announced his accomplishment on X, revealing that he was also named the Best Graduating Male Student in his class.

Remarkably, prior to his graduation, only one student had ever achieved a First-Class degree from the faculty since its founding. Frankline's academic excellence is underscored by his perfect 5.00 GPA in three semesters and a scholarship awarded by the Nigerian Higher Foundation (NHEF).

His achievements extend beyond academics; he was part of a team that secured fourth place in the 2022 FDI Moot competition and won both the Champion and Best Advocate titles at the Shehu Wada Insolvency Moot. Additionally, he authored over 18 academic papers, focusing on international finance, capital markets, and cross-border trade.
