University of Abuja's Nnamani Manna Becomes Top Law Graduate

Nnamani Manna, a law graduate from the University of Abuja, emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student of 2026 in the Faculty of Law after a journey marked by significant academic challenges. Manna's setbacks began in secondary school, where he finished 34th in his class.

Determined to improve, he retook the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, scoring 260 in 2020 but failing to gain admission. After a year of disappointment, he scored 291 in 2021, securing a place in the Faculty of Law.

Throughout his studies, Manna aimed for a 5-point GPA each semester but only achieved this on his eighth attempt after seven semesters of striving. He also excelled as an award-winning essayist and student counsel, winning multiple moot competitions.

In 2026, he graduated with First Class Honours, recorded 8 first-class GPAs across 10 semesters, including 2 perfect semesters, and was named Advocate of the Year, along with several other accolades.
