Atiku/Amaechi Movement Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027

The Atiku/Amaechi Movement has urged opposition leaders to unite for the 2027 general elections, asserting that the proposed ticket of Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi can provide effective leadership for Nigeria. This statement was made in response to comments from former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, regarding Atiku’s presidential ambitions.

Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, the National Director of Media and Communications for the movement, stated that while they respect Kwankwaso's opinions, they disagree with any attempts to undermine Atiku’s leadership capabilities. The movement emphasized that the 2027 elections should focus on candidates' abilities to tackle Nigeria's pressing issues, such as insecurity, poverty, and national division, rather than personal rivalries.

They described Atiku as a former vice president with significant governance experience and highlighted Amaechi’s administrative competence. The movement called for collaboration among political stakeholders to present a united front in the upcoming elections, asserting that Nigerians deserve better leadership.
