Fizdale Aims for Olympic Glory with Nigeria's D'Tigers

David Fizdale has been named the new head coach of Nigeria's senior men's national basketball team, D'Tigers, by the Nigeria Basketball Federation. In an exclusive interview with M4TV Nigeria, Fizdale expressed his ambition to lead the team to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, emphasizing the need for a significant turnaround in performance compared to the women's team, D'Tigress.

He stated that the ultimate goal is not just to participate in the Olympics but to win a medal. Fizdale, a former coach for the Miami Heat, highlighted the importance of setting high expectations and holding the team accountable.

He has already begun discussions with players, including Chimezie Metu and Houston Rockets guard Okogie, to ensure they are committed to the Olympic mission.
