Dazzle FC Triumphs at 2026 Dana Cup in Denmark

Dazzle FC, a football academy based in Lagos, made a significant impact at the 2026 Dana Cup held in Hjørring, Denmark, from July 20 to 25. The academy's U-12 team won the championship on their tournament debut, achieving a flawless record by winning all nine matches, scoring 56 goals, and conceding only six.

Their impressive journey included a 17-0 victory over SV Schwansen and a semi-final win against Brazil's RS Sports, culminating in a 1-0 extra-time victory over Mexican side IFAC in the final, with Akinremi Abdullahi scoring the decisive goal. Meanwhile, the U-14 team also performed admirably, reaching the final of the play-off competition but losing to Palestine's Rawahel 5-3 on penalties after a draw in regulation time.

Ojerinde Toheeb, the goalkeeper for the U-14 team, was recognized as the Best Player in his category, maintaining three clean sheets throughout the tournament.
