Nigerian Obinna Ekezie Shines at BWB Camp in LA

The 10th annual Basketball Without Borders (BWB) camp took place in Los Angeles, California, featuring seven top African basketball prospects, including Nigeria's Obinna Ekezie, son of former Nigerian NBA player Obinna Ekezie Sr., who was awarded the Defensive MVP. Other participants included Cheickh Niang from Senegal, Caleb Ourig from Côte d'Ivoire, Franck Belibi from Cameroon, Peter Julius from Nigeria, Noah El Baze from Morocco, and Ramsei Guessagba Sato from the Central African Republic.

The camp brought together 40 international prospects from Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, focusing on athletic testing, skill development, and life skills seminars. The event included 3-on-3 competitions and 5-on-5 games, with guidance from current and former NBA and FIBA players, including Danilo Gallinari and James Gist.

The camp was held over four days at the UCLA Health Center and Los Angeles Lakers training facility, aiming to deepen the pipeline of coaching talent across the league.
