Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Prepares for 2026 Qualifier

The Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation is preparing for the 2026 Commonwealth Games qualifier by inviting 16 players to a closed camp program at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium from March 8 to March 21, 2026. The men's team includes players such as Shittu Musbau, Adetayo Emmanuel, Kehind Abel, and others, while the women's team features Olabisi Ijigbamigb, Nofisat Adefala, and several others.

The Commonwealth Games qualifier will take place in Luanda, Angola, from March 22 to March 27, 2026. Oluwaseyi Johnson, the president of the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation, expressed confidence that Nigeria will excel in the championship, emphasizing the team's full preparation and determination to perform well.

He commended the unwavering support from the National Sports Commission and highlighted the commitment of both players and technical crew to ensure a strong performance that would make the nation proud on the continental stage.
