NIMC Advocates for Partnerships in Digital ID Rollout

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), led by Engr Abisoy Coker Odusot, is seeking stronger partnerships with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to facilitate the rollout of the digital identification system in Nigeria. This call was made during a recent meeting with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, attended by Dr.

Bernard Doro and Sen. John Enoh.

Coker Odusot highlighted the progress made in transforming identity management over the past three years and emphasized that collaboration with MDAs is crucial for reaching grassroots levels in identification registration. Dr.

Doro welcomed the partnership, noting that verified identity data would strengthen humanitarian programs and improve the credibility of government interventions. Coker Odusot assured that the new identification policies would enhance transparency, eliminate duplication, and ensure that government support reaches genuine beneficiaries.
