NIMENA Calls for Research Papers on Blue Economy

The Nigerian Institute of Marine Engineers and Naval Architects (NIMENA) has announced a call for research papers for its two academic journals: the Journal of Blue Economy and Sustainable Energy Development (JBESED) and the African Journal of Offshore, Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture (AJOMENA). This initiative aims to enhance research, innovation, and knowledge development in Nigeria's maritime and blue economy sectors.

JBESED seeks submissions on topics including blue economy governance, offshore renewable energy, sustainable fisheries, and marine environmental protection. AJOMENA invites research in offshore engineering, marine engineering, and naval architecture, focusing on areas such as ship design, subsea structures, and maritime operations.

Both journals are peer-reviewed and open-access, with a $500 Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted papers. However, NIMENA will sponsor the first 20 best-quality publications at no cost.

Key criteria for selection include scientific validity, originality, and international collaboration. This initiative complements NIMENA's broader focus on professional development and innovation in Nigeria's maritime ecosystem.
