NiMet Forecasts Sunshine and Thunderstorms Nationwide

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) released a weather outlook predicting a three-day forecast of sunshine and cloudiness across Nigeria. On Saturday, sunny skies with patches of cloud are expected in the northern region, with chances of thunderstorms and moderate rain in parts of Taraba, Adamawa, and Kaduna states during the morning and afternoon.

Similar weather conditions, including thunderstorms and moderate rain, are anticipated in parts of Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, and Kaduna states. The North Central region, including Plateau and Nasarawa states, will also experience thunderstorms and moderate rain.

In the southern region, moderate rain is expected in Ondo, Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, and Bayelsa states. NiMet advises the public to take precautions against strong winds and potential flash floods, urging people to avoid driving through flooded areas and to secure loose objects.
