Tinubu Confirms Dissolution of Presidential Committee

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed the dissolution of the Presidential Implementation Committee (PIC) on the alienation of federal government properties. This decision follows an initial approval last year, with the dissolution taking effect on November 5, 2025.

The PIC, which was established in 2000 during former President Olusegun Obasanjo's administration, was tasked with overseeing the privatization, sale, and lease of federal government landed assets. The committee was headed by Mallam Bello Suleiman Dutsin-Ma, with its activities now to be coordinated by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi.

The dissolution comes after the government observed that the PIC's activities had extended beyond its original mandate, leading to multiple litigations. Consequently, the erstwhile Secretary, B.
