NIPR Inducts 73 NIS Officers to Enhance Public Relations

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) inducted 73 Public Relations Officers from the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) following an executive training programme. The ceremony took place on a Friday night at the NIS National Headquarters in Abuja.

Kemi Nandap, the Comptroller General of NIS, represented by Deputy Comptroller General Dr Franca Nwanneka, stated that the initiative aims to enhance the Service's professional respect and global recognition. Nwanneka highlighted the strategic role of Public Relations in building public trust and protecting the institution's reputation.

She urged the inductees to apply their training to improve performance and stakeholder engagement. Dr Ike Neliaku, President of NIPR, noted that the officers are the first point of contact for foreign visitors, shaping Nigeria's image.

DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, NIS Service Public Relations Officer, emphasized the need for accurate and responsible communication of the Service's achievements and policies.
