NITDA to Establish Kannywood Studio in Kano for Digital Innovation and Collaboration

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is set to create a studio for Kannywood in Kano, aiming to enhance collaboration and digital innovation within the creative industry. During an interaction session with Kannywood stakeholders, NITDA's Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, emphasized the critical role of filmmakers in shaping public perception and promoting technological advancements.

The initiative includes training 2,500 students from various institutions in Kano for free, along with 50 journalists per state. This move is part of efforts to support Kannywood's global competitiveness and foster growth in Nigeria's entertainment sector.
