2026 Transportation Summit to Address Nigeria's Logistics Challenges

The Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria (TCAN) is set to host the 2026 Transportation Summit on September 24, 2026, at the Radisson Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. Major stakeholders such as the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), SIFAX Logistics, and Dangote Transport are expected to participate.

The summit, themed “Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Growth Through Transportation Logistics,” aims to gather policymakers, regulators, transport operators, industry leaders, and academics to discuss the future of Nigeria’s transportation and logistics sector. Key topics will include improving logistics infrastructure, enhancing safety and innovation, and promoting sustainable development.

Discussions will focus on Nigeria’s transportation logistics architecture, addressing bottlenecks in passenger and cargo movement, and exploring investment opportunities in logistics and supply chains. Tola Adenubi, TCAN Chairman, emphasized the importance of the summit in providing insights into government reforms and policies aimed at improving intermodal connectivity, particularly through inland waterways.
