Kanu's Lawyer Demands Retraction Over Death Call

Nnamdi Kanu's legal team, representing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, condemned comments made by Chigozi Nnabugwu, who allegedly urged the Nigerian government to kill Kanu during a live broadcast. Aloi Ejimakor, Kanu's special counsel, described the remarks as reckless and a clear threat to Kanu's life, demanding an immediate public retraction and apology from Nnabugwu.

Ejimakor warned that the statement could incite violence and violate the Cybercrimes Act, which criminalizes the transmission of messages intended to cause public disorder. He stated that failure to retract could lead to legal action against Nnabugwu and the broadcasting station for enabling hate speech.
