NNPC Earns N890.8bn in Management Fees and Frontier Funds in 11 Months

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) generated N890.8 billion in management fees and Frontier Exploration Funds (FEF) in 11 months, as reported to the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC). The funds were accrued from product sharing contracts (PSC) operations, highlighting the significance of the oil and gas sector in Nigeria's public finances.

The NNPC is entitled to specific deductions from PSC profits for management fees to cover operational costs and responsibilities. Despite the substantial revenue, there was a significant shortfall compared to the budget benchmark, indicating challenges in oil revenue realization.
