Navy Rescues Three from Capsized Boat in Warri River

On a Sunday during a routine security patrol, operatives from the Nigerian Navy Ship NNS Delta rescued three crew members from a capsized boat along the Bennett River in Warri, Delta State. The naval personnel spotted the distressed passengers floating among debris from the capsized vessel, indicating an ongoing maritime emergency.

Immediately, they launched a search and rescue operation, successfully recovering the three victims. Valuable items from the wreckage were also salvaged.

The rescued crew members were evacuated and taken to NNS Delta for medical treatment, where they were discharged after receiving care. The operation was conducted under the direct command of Commodore Shehu Tasiu.
