Ondo APC Will Not Impose Candidates in Primaries

Mr. Derin Adesida, representing Akure North and Akure South in the House of Representatives, expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not impose candidates in the forthcoming primaries.

He stated that both consensus and direct primaries are acceptable modes for selecting candidates, highlighting that every party member should have a voice in the process. Adesida noted that the direct primary system allows for a more democratic selection, where all party members can participate in choosing their representatives.

He mentioned that he had obtained a nomination form and was prepared to contest in the upcoming elections, which include national assembly and governorship elections in Ondo State. Adesida also indicated that the APC has not yet officially announced the mode of primaries for the upcoming elections, which are scheduled for later this month.
