Yobe SSG Declares No Local Government Under Terrorist Control

Dr. Mohammed Goje, the Secretary to the Yobe State Government, declared that no local government area in Yobe State is currently under the control of terrorists.

In an exclusive interview, he attributed this achievement to the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni, which has focused on restoring security since taking office in 2019. Goje emphasized that the administration's performance is based on verifiable data, stating a public rating of 91.5 percent for the government's performance.

He noted that in 2019, many communities were inaccessible due to Boko Haram activities, but now, nearly all of the 178 political wards in Yobe are accessible. The administration has also made significant investments in healthcare, recruiting 6,000 healthcare workers and completing nearly 150 primary healthcare centers.

Furthermore, Goje mentioned educational reforms, including the construction of mega schools and the establishment of safety policies to ensure secure learning environments for children.
