Davido Claims He'd Win Fair Elections, Avoids Politics

Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, claimed during a livestream with streamer Carter Efe that he could not be defeated in a free and fair election in Nigeria. Despite this assertion, Davido stated he is not interested in contesting for any political office due to the corrupt nature of Nigerian elections and the electoral body.

He expressed his frustration with the electoral system, saying, “Nigeria wey dem dey write result? I no get time for all those ones,” indicating his unwillingness to engage in a corrupt electoral process.

Davido emphasized that he would focus on his music career until there is transparency in the electoral system, suggesting that he might consider running for office in the future if conditions improve. He specifically mentioned his anticipation for the upcoming Osun gubernatorial election, expressing skepticism about the integrity of the electoral process.
