Senator Buba Denies Banditry Allegations, Seeks Justice

Senator Shehu Buba, representing Bauchi South and the Peoples Redemption Party governorship candidate for the 2027 election, has addressed allegations connecting him to banditry in Northern Nigeria. He described these claims as attempts to damage his reputation, made by an individual named Hassan, whom Buba had previously assisted with his education.

Hassan accused Buba of supporting banditry during an interview with social media influencer D English Alhaji Media. Buba refuted these allegations in an interview with Albarka Radio, explaining his past support for Hassan, including connecting him with a cleric for education and providing him with a bicycle.

Buba accused Hassan of misusing his access to gather materials against him and stated he has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, resulting in the arrest of four suspects linked to the allegations. Buba noted that Hassan has fled to Niger Republic, where he continues to make broadcasts allegedly funded by political opponents.
