NOC and Aquatics Federation Launch Coaching Course in Lagos

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Aquatics Federation, is organizing a Level 2 Technical Coaching Course from September 15 to 19, 2026, at the NOC Secretariat, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. NOC Public Relations Officer Tony Nezianya announced the five-day program, which is part of the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Olympic Solidarity initiative aimed at developing athletes and strengthening sports structures.

The course will upgrade the technical capacity of Nigerian coaches, exposing them to modern coaching methods and international best practices. It is designed to enhance training, athlete development, and performance, contributing to Nigeria's goal of producing competitive athletes for major competitions.

Finch Cedric, a certified technical expert from South Africa, will lead the course, providing participants with access to international coaching expertise. The program also aims to facilitate knowledge sharing among coaches and is coordinated by Mrs. Olaniyan Dolapo Rofiat.
