NOC to Host Badminton Coaching Course in Abuja 2026

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) is set to host the International Olympic Committee (IOC)/Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) Badminton Technical Coaching Course Level 2 in Abuja from September 4 to 12, 2026. This nine-day program aims to strengthen coaching capacity and accelerate badminton development in Nigeria.

It will gather selected badminton coaches and technical personnel for intensive theoretical and practical sessions designed to provide advanced technical knowledge and modern coaching methods. Key areas of focus will include modern coaching techniques, technical and tactical development, athlete preparation, and training planning.

Participants will also learn about talent identification, competition management, and international badminton standards. The course is part of NOC's commitment to education and capacity building in Nigerian sports, emphasizing the importance of developing technical personnel to enhance the country's performance in various sports, particularly badminton, as Nigeria seeks to nurture young talents for competitive success.
