Nollywood Actor Joseph Momodu Enlists in US Army

Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has officially joined the US Army, marking a significant milestone in his life and fulfilling a lifelong dream. He announced his enlistment on Instagram, dedicating this achievement to the memory of his late father, who served in the Nigerian police force.

Momodu completed basic combat training and is now a specialist (SPC) in the 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He described the training as life-changing, emphasizing the physical and mental demands it imposed, which ultimately built his resilience and teamwork skills.

Momodu chose April 12, 2026, as his enlistment date to honor his father's legacy of public service. He expressed gratitude for the support from family, friends, and his social media manager during the rigorous training process.

This enlistment represents a new chapter in his life, as he looks forward to embracing the responsibilities of military service.
