Northern Governors Mourn Emirs of Gumel and Zurmi

On Thursday, the Northern States Governors’ Forum expressed condolences over the deaths of Emir Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Sani II of Gumel, Jigawa State, and Emir Alhaji Bello Sulaiman of Zurmi, Zamfara State. The forum's chairman, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, issued a statement through Ismaila Misilli, Director-General of Press Affairs at the Gombe Government House.

Yahaya described the death of Emir Sani as a profound loss to Jigawa State, the northern region, and Nigeria, praising his wisdom, humility, and commitment to peace and community welfare. He emphasized the late emir's significant contributions to the stability and progress of the Gumel Emirate.

Similarly, Yahaya mourned Emir Sulaiman, recognizing him as a respected leader who dedicated his five-year reign to the wellbeing of his subjects. He urged the communities to uphold the values associated with both monarchs and prayed for their forgiveness and eternal peace.
