BPP DG Dr. Adedokun Receives Sir Ahmadu Bello Award

On June 26, 2026, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), was honored with the Sir Ahmadu Bello Integrity Award by the Northern Youth Organization of Nigeria.

This award recognizes his outstanding contributions to public sector reform, transparency, accountability, and youth development. During the award presentation at the BPP headquarters in Abuja, Dr.

Adedokun expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the challenges ahead, calling for greater service and commitment to youth empowerment. He urged Nigerian youth to channel their energy towards productive engagement with government initiatives aligned with the President’s agenda for youth development.

Dr. Adedokun highlighted various government initiatives aimed at empowering young Nigerians, including education, financial entrepreneurship support, and infrastructure development.

He reiterated the BPP's commitment to youth empowerment, noting that 60 percent of its workforce comprises youth. The award was presented following a rigorous selection process led by Mr.

Isah Ododo.
