Norwegian Firm Launches $277bn Offshore AI Energy Platform to Revolutionize Global Energy Sector

Norwegian artificial intelligence infrastructure company, Wadata 1021, has launched the Wadata 1021 Offshore AI, a new global platform aimed at tackling challenges in the worldwide energy sector. The initiative, in its initial capital formation phase, has opened to institutional investors and strategic partners in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The platform, with an estimated investment of $277 billion, plans to deploy a 53-gigawatt system across four dedicated energy clusters. Wadata 1021 aims to leverage offshore coastal environments rich in energy resources to create a scalable and sovereign AI infrastructure.

The company's long-term vision is to establish energy-led infrastructure as the backbone for accelerated AI adoption across governments and industries. Elo Hansen and Yahiya, the founders of Wadata 1021, emphasize the importance of combining engineering expertise with strategic partnerships to enable scalable and resilient AI infrastructure.
