NPC Chairman Kwarra Bows Out, Hands Over Leadership to Dattijo

The Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Kwarra, has officially concluded his five-year tenure by handing over leadership to Muhammad Dattijo, a Federal Commissioner representing Niger State. Dattijo will serve as the acting chairman until the formal swearing-in.

Kwarra highlighted achievements such as strengthening data collection systems and digitalizing civil registration. The NPC, led by Kwarra, introduced digital mapping for census operations and was preparing for the 2023 census before it was postponed.

Aminu Yusuf is expected to guide the commission towards completing this crucial exercise.
