Bua Group Denies Bid for Kano Pillars Football Club

Bua Group, under the leadership of Abdul Samad Rabiu, issued a statement on Monday denying claims that it had submitted a bid to acquire a 70% stake in Kano Pillars Football Club, a team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The company described the reports circulating on social media as false and misleading, clarifying that neither the conglomerate nor Rabiu had made any offers or engaged in discussions regarding the acquisition of shares in the four-time Nigerian league champions.

The statement emphasized that no proposals had been submitted to the Kano State government concerning the club's ownership. Bua Group urged the public to disregard the inaccurate reports and to rely on official communications for accurate information regarding the company's activities.

This clarification comes amid ongoing discussions about the privatization of Nigerian football clubs and the potential for increased private sector investment to enhance financial stability and competitiveness.
