Ikorodu City Secures Opening Win in NPFL 2026/27

Ikorodu City made a strong start to their 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League campaign with a 3-1 victory against newly promoted Ranchers Bees on Sunday. The match began with Ranchers Bees taking the lead in the seventh minute.

However, Ikorodu City equalized in the 30th minute through Umar Dan’Azumi. Just before halftime, Abayomi Ayodeji scored to put Ikorodu City ahead.

The victory was sealed in the 87th minute when Farouk Salami converted a penalty, completing the scoreline at 3-1. This win placed Ikorodu City at the top of the league table.
