NPFL Announces N1 Billion Prize for 2026/27 Season

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) will feature a historic title prize of N1 billion for the 2026/27 season, as announced by the National Sports Commission (NSC). The runner-up will receive N800 million, while the third-place team will earn N700 million.

Teams finishing further down the table will receive financial rewards based on their final positions. Additionally, the minimum monthly salary for NPFL players has been set at N2 million.

Enugu Rangers, the previous season's champions, received N150 million for winning the NPFL title, while Remo Stars, the prior winners, earned N100 million. This increase in prize money is part of new incentives aimed at enhancing the competitive nature of the league.
