NPTF Launches Empowerment Program for Police Wives

The Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) launched an empowerment program for the wives of junior police officers across Nigeria, with the event held at the Police Barracks in Dei Dei, Abuja. The program, which aims to provide vocational skills and start-up packs, was initiated by NPTF Managing Director Abubakar and attended by key figures including Minister of Police Affairs Ibrahim Gaidam and Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu.

The Executive Secretary of NPTF, Moham Sheidu, emphasized the initiative's alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on inclusive economic empowerment. The program is designed to enhance the welfare of police families and promote self-reliance among beneficiaries.

Olufunmilola Mutiat Disu, the National President of POWA, described the initiative as a strategic investment in police families, urging government agencies and corporate organizations to support similar empowerment programs.
